Midjourney V6 has arrived! This new version brings one highly requested feature: the ability to add text directly to your AI-generated images. This is a big change that opens up many creative possibilities.

Understanding how it works is key to getting the results you want. It's a bit different from what you might expect, but very exciting.

Getting Started with Midjourney V6

To use the latest version, you have a couple of options. You can type `/settings` and choose V6 from the menu that appears. Or, you can add the parameter `--v 6` to the end of your prompt.

Many users are finding V6 to be more responsive and precise compared to V5. It seems to understand prompts in a different, perhaps more direct, way.

How to Add Text in V6

The main new thing people are talking about is adding text. To do this, you need to put the phrase you want to include in double quotation marks (`"like this"`).

Based on early testing, it helps to specify that you want text before the quoted phrase. Something like "Write 'Hello World' on the sign..." seems to work better than just putting the quote in the prompt without context.

Midjourney works best with clear, short instructions. This applies to text too. Shorter phrases, maybe up to three words, tend to give better results right now.

If you're looking to generate many images with specific text or need to manage complex prompting workflows, consider using the TitanXT Midjourney Automation Suite. It can streamline your process and help you get consistent results faster.

What Text Looks Like in V6 Images

An interesting observation is that the text often takes on the style and color of the image it's placed in. For example, text in a Christmas illustration might have a festive look and color palette.

The type of sentence you write can also influence the font style. A phrase like "Merry Christmas" might automatically appear in a font that looks typically Christmassy.

While you can influence text colors to some extent, full control over the exact font style doesn't seem readily available yet.

Things to Keep in Mind (Alpha Version)

Midjourney V6 is an alpha release. This means it's still being developed and tested. Because of this, you might see some errors in the text it generates. Letters might be wrong, or words might be misspelled sometimes.

However, even with errors, usually at least one or two images in the grid will have the text correct.

Using tools to manage your prompts and test variations can be helpful, especially in alpha versions. Automating your Midjourney tasks with something like the TitanXT Midjourney Automation Suite can save a lot of time when experimenting with new features like text.

First Look at V6 Styles

Beyond text, V6 feels different when prompting. Many users are testing the `--style raw` setting and other stylize options (--s). Early results with both low and high stylize settings seem promising.

What's Next for Midjourney V6?

Unofficially, the team is expected to release improved consistency for styles and characters. A new tool called the V6 style tuner is also planned to come out after the initial V6 launch.

There's a lot to explore in this update. Continue testing and see what amazing creations you can make.

If you're serious about using Midjourney for your projects and want to make your workflow more efficient, check out the TitanXT Midjourney Automation Suite. It's designed to help you push the boundaries of what's possible with Midjourney.
