Midjourney has rolled out a new website. This changes how we interact with our images and the community's creations. It gives us more control over exploring and organizing.
If you visit beta.midjourney.com, you can see it right away.
A Fresher Look and Feel
The new site is built for browsing, exploring, and sorting all the pictures you have made. At first glance, it looks like the original app, but there are important differences.
The new site feels much quicker to use. Everything loads faster and works more smoothly than before. It also has fewer small problems or glitches.
Finding Images is Easier
The search works very well now. You can type what you are looking for, and the pictures show up fast. This is great for looking at what other people have made. If you look for "UI designs," you get relevant images quickly. Comparing this to the old app search shows a big difference in speed and finding relevant results.
The improved search also works for your own pictures. You can search your creations for terms like "lion" or "UI" and find all related images instantly, even old ones.
Tailor Your View
A simple helpful change is being able to switch between light and dark modes. Find the button in the bottom left corner to set your preference.
Organizing Your Works and Discoveries
The new site makes it simple to keep track of pictures you like and manage your own. It adds tools for sorting through everything you create.
Saving Likes and Inspiration
If you see an image from someone else you like, click the heart icon. This saves it to your "Likes" folder, which you can access easily. It is a good way to collect images that inspire you or keep track of your favorite artists.
Quickly Reviewing Your Own Images
Clicking on any image brings it up in a larger view. You can then use your keyboard arrow keys to flip through images quickly. This is very useful if you are going through many versions of your own work for a project.
Rate and Filter Your Best Work
The web app includes a rating system. You can quickly rate images using the number keys 1 through 4. The icons show your rating as you press the keys. This lets you rank your work efficiently.
You can then use the filter option in the top right corner. This lets you see images based on the rating you gave them. You can also filter to see only the final upscaled images, pulling up just the best versions.
Managing many Midjourney images can be time-consuming. If you are looking for ways to make creating and organizing your results faster, consider exploring the Midjourney Automation Suite from TitanXT.
Looking Ahead: Beyond the Web App
This new web app is part of a larger plan. Midjourney is working to move away from relying only on Discord. They are creating their own platforms, like this web version, to improve the user experience.
More Than Just a Web Tool
The goal is to make using Midjourney better and more direct. The improved search and organization tools in the beta website are examples of this.
Exciting Future Possibilities
Midjourney has shared plans for more features soon. These include Midjourney Video and Midjourney 3D, opening up new creative options.
Community Ideas
The video mentions a wish for more detailed ways to sort images, like folders for your own work or collections of images from others, similar to how Pinterest boards work. What features would you like to see added to the new Midjourney web app?
