Have you ever wondered how adding words like "macro photography" or "cinematic" changes the pictures Midjourney creates? Using version 5.1, we looked at just this. We used a very simple prompt – only two words – plus a photography style. We also kept the aspect ratio consistent (16:9 wide screen) to really see how the style affected the outcome. Let's see what happened when we used "Event Horizon" with different photo styles.
Testing Different Photo Styles
Macro Photography
We started with "Event Horizon macro photography." The results were surprising and amazing. They looked like spectacular close-up images, not what you might first picture for "Event Horizon." This showed how a style can completely change the expected result.
Conceptual Photography
Next was "Event Horizon conceptual photography." Midjourney often added a person walking away from the viewer in these images. Taking note of these patterns is useful. Some of these conceptual images were really thought-provoking.
Documentary Photography
"Event Horizon documentary photography" gave a different feel. The vibe was distinct. It created images that felt grounded and observational, like something you might see in a real documentary. While not overly exciting, they were interesting to explore.
Long Exposure
The results for "Event Horizon long exposure" were just okay for some. Midjourney makes such great images usually, maybe the standard is high. But there were still some cool pictures. One looked like moving very fast, maybe heading towards the "Event Horizon."
Exploring different styles means generating many images. This can take time. The Midjourney Automation Suite from TitanXT can help you run multiple prompts and styles efficiently.
Street Photography
We tried "Event Horizon street photography," which felt like an unusual combination. It's worth noting that some styles just don't work well with certain words (like underwater did not work here). An interesting outcome was that many images for street photography were in black and white. One black and white image, though maybe not clearly showing "Event Horizon," was loved for its simple, minimalist look. Minimalist images are fascinating.
Abstract Photography
For "Event Horizon abstract photography," some results felt closer to a traditional idea of "Event Horizon." But others were completely different, using blocks or shapes to create a distinct feel. This style gave a wide range of visual interpretations.
Dramatic Photography
Adding "dramatic photography" created a moodier atmosphere. Again, a person sometimes appeared in these images. Observing these tendencies can help when you plan your own prompts later.
Black and White Photography
"Black and white photography" produced results that were quite distinct and not what was expected, which was a nice surprise. It completely changed the look compared to color versions.
Generating and comparing many images across different styles is easy with the right tools. Check out the Midjourney Automation Suite from TitanXT to enhance your workflow.
Astrophotography
"Astrophotography" results logically included skies and stars. However, some images showed an unwanted "crack" texture in the sky areas. Getting preferred results needed more reruns compared to other styles.
Cinematic Photography
Finally, "cinematic photography" was a favorite style tested here. Like macro, it worked very well with "Event Horizon." The images were spectacular, full of detail, and definitely had a movie-like quality. This style truly brought out the "cinematic" vibe.
This test shows that adding a photography style to even a very simple prompt can dramatically change the output in Midjourney. Some styles work better than others depending on your base words. Keep experimenting to see what incredible images you can create!
