Midjourney is one of the leading text-to-image tools available today. It makes creating unique images from simple text prompts easy. Let's walk through how to get started and explore its features.
Starting Your First Creation
To make an image, you use the "Imagine" bar. You just need to type a description of what you want to see. After typing your description, press enter. Midjourney will then start generating your image.
The images show up in the "Create" tab. Each time you generate, Midjourney makes a set of four images based on your description.
Viewing Your Images Closer
You can click on any image in the set to see it bigger. This opens it in a light box view. From here, you can use your arrow keys or the mouse wheel to look at the other images in that set.

Working With Your Creations
For every image you create, there are different buttons you can click below it. These buttons let you do more actions based on that image. You can hover over the text next to the buttons to learn what each one does.
For example, if you really like one image and want to make more images similar to it, you can use the "Vary (Strong)" button. Clicking this returns you to the create tab. There, you will see a new set of four images inspired by the one you chose.
Changing Your Settings
You can update your image generation settings at any time. Look for the settings icon. Click it to see your options. For instance, you can change the default size or shape of your images, like setting them to generate in a landscape view automatically.

Organizing and Exploring
Keep Your Images Tidy
To organize or download the images you've made, go to the "Organize" tab. Here, you can select images by clicking and dragging. Once selected, you can add them to folders or download them to your computer.
Find Inspiration and Connect
Midjourney also has a community side. You can go to the "Rooms" tab to see what other people are creating. You can also send messages in the chat or even make your own images directly in the rooms. There are many different rooms you can look through in the "Lobby" area.
If you are feeling stuck and need ideas, the "Explore" tab is very helpful. Here you can view lots of different images made by others. You can even use images from the Explore tab as a starting point for your own text prompts.
